My name is Calvin Barden and I have been established as a heating engineer/plumber since 1991, working in around the East Grinstead area.

I am a Gas Safe-qualified engineer and specialise in the installation and maintenance of oil and gas-powered boilers.

About Calvin

My name is Calvin Barden and I have been established as a heating engineer/plumber since 1991, working in the East Grinstead area.

I am following on from my father and grandfather who worked in the town as plumbers from before the second world war.

Married with two children, I have lived in the East Grinstead area all of my life.

My areas of speciality include boiler replacements, upgrades, repairs and servicing of all makes of gas and oil-fired heating equipment.

Registrations

Gas Safe Register (formerly Corgi)

Gas work in your home or business must be undertaken by a Gas Safe Registered installer. I'm fully qualified and registered to work on gas pipework, gas boilers, gas fires, gas cookers and gas cooking ranges. I can also carry out combustion analysis of all the above appliances.

Oftec (Oil firing technical association)

I am qualified and registered to work on and service pressure jet heating boilers and cookers.

Unvented hot water tanks (Megaflow)

I am registered to fit and service high pressure unvented hot water tanks.

Insurance

For your peace of mind I have up to £3 million cover in liability insurance.

Using a contractor with insufficient insurance cover can be extremely risky and could result in serious damage to your property - leaving you liable to pay for expensive repairs.

Your home is likely to be your most valuable asset, so make sure you don't put it at risk by using a contractor without sufficient insurance cover. While it is extremely rare for claims to be made, saving a few pounds by using an uninsured engineer is not worth the risk.
